Homicide: 1900 Block of Q Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that took place in the 1900 block of Q Street, Southeast on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at approximately 9:32 pm.

Members of the Seventh District responded to the area of Minnesota Avenue and Q Street, Southeast for a reported shooting. An adult male was located suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and showing no signs consistent with life. The decedent remained on the scene and was later transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The decedent has been identified as 42-year-old Norman Joaquin of Southeast, D.C.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
