Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred on Thursday, July 19, 2018, in the 1500 block of 19th Street, Southeast.
At approximately 1:19 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female, inside of a residence, suffering from multiple stab wounds. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene and found that the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until being transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 44-year-old Lusharone Nicholson, of Southeast, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
