(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting which occurred in the 1400 block of Cedar Street, Southeast.
On Thursday, March 05, 2015, at approximately 1:11 a.m., members of the Seventh District received a call for the report of the sounds of gunshot in the 1400 block of Cedar Street, Southeast. The officers responded to the area and located a male, unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia. The decedent has been identified as 33 year-old Thomas N. Deal of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
