Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on H Street, NE.
On Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at approximately 11:45 am, units from the First District responded to the 1300 block of H Street, NE, for the report of a shooting, where they located 21-year-old George Rawlings on the step of a Metrobus, suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Rawlings was transported by personnel from the DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.

If the information provided by the caller to the Crime Solvers Unit leads to an arrest and indictment, that caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
