Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 1300 block of First Street, Southwest.
On Sunday, January 11, 2015, at approximately 6:55 pm, police officers from the First District responded to a call for a shooting in the 1300 block of First Street, Southwest. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male inside of the residence located in the 1300 block of First Street, Southwest. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the victim to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 27 year-old James Anderson, of Southwest, Washington, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
