Homicide in the 1100 block of 10th Street NW

A 34-year-old man was found fatally stabbed inside an apartment.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal stabbing which occurred in the 1100 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>10th Street, NW.

On Monday, August 9, 2010, shortly after 6 pm, officers from the Third District along with personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to an apartment in the 1100 block of 10th Street, NW, for the report of a man down. Upon arriving on the scene, they discovered a male victim unresponsive and suffering from apparent stab wounds, he was subsequently pronounced dead.


The decedent is identified as 34 year-old, Delando King, of the 1100 block of 10th Street, NW.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.

If the information provided by the caller to the Crime Solvers Unit leads to an arrest and indictment, that caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
