Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred in the 1000 block of Savannah Street, Southeast on Monday, December 28, 2015.
At approximately 8:20 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the report of the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DCFEMS members arrived on the scene and found no signs of life.
The decedent has not been identified and the investigation is ongoing. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
