Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the homicide that occurred on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at approximately 4:55 pm.
Officers from the Seventh District responded to a call for a shooting in the 100 Block of Darrington Street, Southwest. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the victim to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 25-year-old Isiah Agyekum of Southwest, Washington, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
