Homicide in the 100 Block of 41st Street, NE

At approximately 8:25 this morning, Tuesday, February 21, 2006, police were called to the 100 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>41st Street, NE, for the report of an unconscious person.  Upon arrival officers located 21-year-old Baldwin Robertson Jr., of the 4200 block of Benning Road, NE, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.  He was taken to the DC Medical Examiner's Office and pronounced dead.

The case is under investigation by members of the department's Violent Crimes Branch.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
