Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal stabbing committed in the 4200 block of 2nd Street, NW on November 6, 2009.
On Friday, November 6, 2009, at approximately 11:45 pm, officers assigned to the Fourth District responded to an apartment inside of 4211 2nd Street, NW to investigate the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from multiple stab wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department personnel responded to the scene, but could find no life signs. The victim, identified as 31-year-old Kevin J. Massey, of the 2nd Street address, was later pronounced dead on the scene by a representative from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia. Subsequently, the body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
