Fatal Stabbing on Dubois Place, SE

On Monday, July 10, 2006, at approximately 8:49 pm, police and DCFD emergency medical personnel responded to the 4373 Dubois Place, SE to investigate the report of a stabbing.  Upon arrival, they discovered a female suffering from a stab wound to the neck inside of that address.

The victim, who has been identified as 46-year-old Sandra Mitchell, of the DuBois Place address, was transported to Prince George's County Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 10:47 pm.

The case is currently under investigation by detectives assigned to the department's Violent Crimes Branch.  Anyone who has information regarding this case is asked to call (202) 727-9099.

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
