Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide and Sexual Offenses Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on the morning of Sunday, February 1, 2009 in the 3400 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>13th Place, SE. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>
On Sunday, February 1, 2009, at approximately 2:36 am, Seventh District officers and DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department personnel responded to the 3400 block of 13th Place, SE for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside of an apartment. The victim, identified as 22-year-old Antwan Proctor, of the 1200 block of Southview Drive in Oxon Hill, Maryland, was transported to the WashingtonHospitalCenter’s MedSTAR Unit where he was pronounced dead at 3:15 am.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.

If the information provided by a caller to the Crime Solvers Unit leads to an arrest and indictment, that caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
