(Washington, DC) – The Metropolitan Police Department has identified the decedent in the fatal police-involved shooting that took place in the 5300 block of Dix Street, Northeast on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at approximately 1:52 pm as 34-year-old Darick Napper of Southeast, Washington.

As the investigation continues, anyone who may have been a witness, or who has information is asked to call police at 202-727-9099.  Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.  Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
