Decedent Identified Homicide 3300 block Sherman Avenue Northwest

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred in the 3300 block of Sherman Avenue NW. On Sunday, March 8, 2015, at approximately 8:11 am, members of the Third District responded to the report of an unconscious person lying in the 3300 block of Sherman Avenue, Northwest. Upon arrival, they located an unidentified adult female suffering from apparent stab wounds. Personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded and observed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene.

The decedent has been identified as 37 year-old Alejandra Coronado-Cardona of Northwest, Washington, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
