Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.
First District:

On Thursday, September 1, 2016, 28-year-old Adrian Duane Johnson of Upper Marlboro, MD was arrested for an Assault with Intent to Rob offense that occurred in the 1200 block of New York Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 16-147-272
- On Thursday, September 1, 2016, at approximately 3:48 am a suspect assaulted and demanded a victim’s property. The suspect fled the scene southbound on 13th Street, Northwest without obtaining property.

On Thursday, September 1, 2016, 28-year-old Adrian Duane Johnson of Upper Marlboro, MD was arrested for a Robbery (Force & Violence) offense that occurred in the 1200 block of L Street, Northwest. CCN: 16-147-288
- On Thursday, September 1, 2016, at approximately 5:14 am a suspect assaulted two victims, took their backpacks and then fled northbound on 13th Street towards Massachusetts Avenue, Northwest.

On Thursday, September 1, 2016, 28-year-old Robert Marsh, of no fixed address, was arrested for an Assault with Intent to Rob offense that occurred in the unit block of H Street, Northwest. CCN: 16-147-388
- On Thursday, September 1, 2016, at approximately 9:40 am, a suspect punched the complainant in the face and attempted to take the complainant’s money. The suspect was stopped and arrested on scene.
Fourth District:

On Wednesday, August 31, 2016, 34-year-old Demetrius Best of Southeast, DC was arrested for an Assault with Intent to Rob offense that occurred in the 7700 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 16-147-029
- On Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at approximately 5:14 am a suspect approached a victim while she was loading items in her vehicle. The suspect then assaulted her, attempted to take her purse, and fled the scene on his bicycle.

On Friday, September 2, 2016, 22-year-old Joseph Lee Robinson Jr. and 19-year-old Staphie Reed, both of Southeast, DC were arrested for a Robbery of an Establishment while Armed offense that occurred in the 200 block of Cedar Street, Northwest. CCN: 16-145-190
- On Sunday, August 28, 2016, at approximately 10:01 pm, two suspects entered an establishment in the 200 block of Cedar Street, Northwest and took cigarettes. The victim tried to intervene and he was assaulted.

On Friday, September 2, 2016, 22-year-old Joseph Lee Robinson, Jr., of Southeast, DC was arrested for a second Robbery of an Establishment offense that occurred in the 200 block of Cedar Street, Northwest. CCN: 16-142-661
- On Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at approximately 10:15 pm, a suspect entered an establishment in the 200 block of Cedar Street, Northwest, took cigarettes, and fled the scene.
Sixth District:

On Monday, August 29, 2016, a 15-year-old juvenile male of Northeast, DC was arrested for a Robbery of an Establishment and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense. Additionally, a 15-year-old juvenile male and a 14-year-old juvenile male both of Northeast, DC, were also arrested for the same Robbery of an Establishment offense that occurred in the 5000 block of Benning Road, Southeast. CCN: 16-145-300
- On Monday, August 29, 2016, at approximately 3:05 am three suspects entered an establishment in the 5000 block of Benning Road, Southeast and began to take items off the shelves. One suspect brandished a gun and then the suspects fled with the victim’s property.

On Thursday, September 1, 2016, a 16-year-old juvenile male of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery offense that occurred in the 2500 block of Stanton Road, Southeast. CCN: 16-145-847
- On Monday, August 29, 2016, at approximately 10:05 pm, the suspect snatched a cell phone from the complainant’s hand and fled the area.

On Saturday, August 27, 2016, a 13-year-old juvenile male of Fort Washington, MD was arrested for a Robbery-Pickpocket offense that occurred in the 1700 block of Good Hope Road, Southeast. CCN: 16-144-464
- On Saturday, August 27, 2016, at approximately 4:29 pm a suspect approached the victim, snatched his wallet from his back pocket, and fled the scene.
