Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

 

Second District:

 

  • On Wednesday, April 11, 2018, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 28 year-old Brandon McMillian, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, October 6, 2017, in the 5500 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest. This is the second arrest made in this case.
    • At approximately 7:54 pm, two suspects entered an establishment in the 5500 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest. Both suspects demanded US currency and merchandise as one of the suspects brandished a handgun. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene with US currency and merchandise. CCN: 17-173-610

Fourth District:

 

  • On Wednesday, April 11, 2018, 21 year-old Danita Harris, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, in the 6400 block of Chillum Place, Northwest.
    • At approximately 10:47 am, the victim and the suspect were involved in a verbal altercation at this listed location. The suspect forcefully took the victim’s purse and attempted to flee the area with the victim’s belongings. Responding officers located the suspect and placed her under arrest. CCN: 18-057545

 

Sixth District:

 

  • On Wednesday, April 11, 2018, a 13 year-old juvenile male, of Southwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, in the 1600 block of Q Street, Southeast.
    • At approximately 4:00 pm, the victim and three suspects were involved in a verbal altercation at this listed location. The suspects physically assaulted the victim and took his cell phone. The suspects then fled the scene with the victim’s property. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 18-058-207
