Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District announced that four arrests have been made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, in the 1500 block of Butler Street, Southeast.
At approximately 2:53 am, two suspects approached the victims, inside of a residence, at the listed location. An altercation ensued between the victims and suspects. During the altercation, a handgun was pointed at the victims. No shots were fired and the suspects fled the scene. As the victims followed the two suspects, two additional suspects approached. The third suspect struck a victim with a handgun as the fourth suspect restrained her. The suspects then fled the scene. All three victims sustained non-life threatening injuries.
On Thursday, July 13, 2017, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 19-year-old Arenzo McGhee, and 18-year-old Jaquan McGee, both of Southeast, DC, were arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
Additionally, on Friday, July 14, 2017, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 25-year-old Jasiah Williams, and 23-year-old Aquansha Weathers, both of Southeast, DC, were arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
