Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's First District announce an arrest has been made in two Burglary offenses in the First District.
On Friday, February 9, 2018, 28-year-old Lawrence Prince, of No Fixed Address, was arrested for Carrying a Pistol Without a License, in the 200 block of 9th Street, Northeast, after he was found to be in possession of a firearm. As a result of the detectives’ investigation, Prince was subsequently charged with the below offenses.
- Burglary One: On Monday, January 22, 2018, at approximately 5:10 am, the suspect entered an occupied residence, in the 300 block of Constitution Avenue, Northeast, through a window. Once inside, the victim confronted the suspect. The suspect then fled the scene without any property. CCN: 18-011-783
- Burglary Two/Theft One (Stolen Auto): On Thursday, January 25, 2018, between 6:50 am and 5:25 pm, the suspect entered an unoccupied residence, in the 200 block of 9th Street, Northeast, through a window. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. CCN:18-013-940
