Arrest Made in Two Burglary Offenses in the First District

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's First District announce an arrest has been made in two Burglary offenses in the First District.

 

On Friday, February 9, 2018, 28-year-old Lawrence Prince, of No Fixed Address, was arrested for Carrying a Pistol Without a License, in the 200 block of 9th Street, Northeast, after he was found to be in possession of a firearm. As a result of the detectives’ investigation, Prince was subsequently charged with the below offenses.

 

  • Burglary One: On Monday, January 22, 2018, at approximately 5:10 am, the suspect entered an occupied residence, in the 300 block of Constitution Avenue, Northeast, through a window. Once inside, the victim confronted the suspect. The suspect then fled the scene without any property. CCN: 18-011-783

 

  • Burglary Two/Theft One (Stolen Auto): On Thursday, January 25, 2018, between 6:50 am and 5:25 pm, the suspect entered an unoccupied residence, in the 200 block of 9th Street, Northeast, through a window. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. CCN:18-013-940
