Arrest Made in the Stabbing Death of Jermaine Jones

A 42-year-old man has been charged with murder.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced that an arrest has been made in the fatal stabbing death of Jermaine Jones, which occurred in the 1700 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>Trinidad Avenue, Northeast, on June 7, 2010.

On Thursday, September 9, 2010, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 42 year-old Christopher Lamont Johnson of Hyattsville, Maryland, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant charging Mr. Johnson with First Degree Murder While Armed.


On June 7, 2010, officers from the Fifth District were dispatched to the 1700 block of Trinidad Avenue, Northeast, for the report of a stabbing and when they arrived they discovered Mr. Jones suffering from stab wounds.  He was transported to HowardUniversity hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
