Arrest Made in October Homicide on Irving Street, NW

At approximately 4 pm, on Thursday, October 27, 2005, police were called to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>1454 Irving Street, NW, for the report of a sick person. Upon arrival police located 54-year-old Gerald Armstrong, of the Irving Street address, suffering from apparent blunt force trauma to the body. He was transported to the WashingtonHospitalCenter's MedStar Unit and admitted in critical condition.

On Wednesday, November 2, 2005, Mr. Armstrong, died as a result of his injuries.


On Tuesday, November 8, 2005, the D.C. Medical Examiner's Office ruled that the cause of dead was due to blunt force trauma to the body and the manner of death ruled a homicide.


The above case was closed on December 10, 2005, with the arrest of 50-year-old James Moore, of no fixed address. He was charged with Murder II.
