Members of the Metropolitan Police Department and FBI Violent Crimes Task Force announced an arrest has been made in reference to a Kidnapping while Armed offense that occurred on Saturday, November 10, 2018, in the 1500 block of Rhode Island Avenue, Northwest.
At approximately 10:00 pm, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and forced the victim into a vehicle. The suspects took the victim’s property and then drove him to different locations attempting to withdrawal US currency from ATMs. The victim was able to escape the vehicle and notify MPD.
On Tuesday, December 4, 2018, pursuant to a US District Court bench warrant, 22-year-old Ethan Moye-Gordon, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with Kidnapping while Armed.
This case remains under investigation.
