At approximately 8:28 pm on Thursday, January 25, 2007, police were called to the front of 4423 <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>Georgia Avenue, NW. for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival officers located 47-year-old Jacques Komla, of the 9200 block of Maxwell Court in Laurel, Maryland, suffering from gunshot wounds to the body. He was taken to the WashingtonHospitalCenter's MedStar Unit and pronounced dead.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>

The above case was closed on Wednesday, August 8, 2007, with the arrest of 24-year-old Andre Wilson, of the 100 block of 36th Street, SE.  He has been charged with First Degree Murder while Armed.
