At approximately 9:42 pm on Friday, March 17, 2006, Metropolitan Police were called to the 1700 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>8th Street, NW, for the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival they located 35-year-old Ricardo Norcome, of the 1800 block of Benning Road, NE, suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the body and head.  He was taken to the WashingtonHospitalCenter's MedStar Unit and pronounced dead at 10:18 pm.

The above case was closed with the arrest of 25-year-old Shaun Christopher Rosebar, of the 1500 block of 7th Street, NW. He was charged with Murder One while Armed.
