Arrest Made in Homicide: 4500 Block of Quarles Street, Northeast

(Washington, DC)- Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announced a suspect has been arrested in connection with a homicide that occurred in the 4500 Block of Quarles Street, Northeast. On Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at approximately 7:39pm, members of the Sixth District responded to a shooting in the area of Kenilworth and Quarles Streets, Northeast. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds in the 4500 block of Quarles Street, Northeast. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to an area hospital, where he later died.

The decedent has been identified as 25 year-old Davon Barnes of Northeast, Washington, DC.

 21 year-old Bobby Barnes of Northeast, Washington, DC was arrested a short time later, and charged with First Degree Murder While Armed.
