Arrest Made in a Homicide: 2600 Block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announce an arrest was made in reference to a homicide of a Critical Missing Person from Washington, DC.

The United States Park Police located human remains, later identified as 22 year old Marty McMillan, Jr. of Landover, Maryland, on October 30, 2017, along Suitland Parkway in Prince George’s County.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore determined the cause of death was due to multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.

It was determined that the decedent was shot multiple times, inside a residence, in the 2600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Southeast.

On Tuesday, April 17, 2018, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fugitive Unit executed a booking order and transported 40 year-old John Jabar McRae, of Southeast, DC, to the Homicide Branch where he was charged with Second Degree Murder While Armed.
