Arrest Made in Enticing a Minor

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Youth Investigations Division have announced that an arrest has been made of an adult male after detectives received a tip of inappropriate communication with a student.

On Thursday, May 15, 2014, detectives received a tip of inappropriate communications between a student and a DC Public School employee at Cardozo Education Campus.  Detectives from Youth Investigations Division who are assigned to the MPD/FBI Internet Crime Against Children Task Force conducted an investigation which led to an arrest.

On Friday, May 16, 2014, 26 year-old Joseph Morales of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Enticing a Minor.  He is currently on administrative leave.

The investigation is continuing in an attempt to locate and identify additional victims.
