Arrest Made in Burglary Two Offenses in the Second District

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department announced an arrest has been made in two Burglary Two offenses that occurred in the Second District.                                                                                                    

On Saturday, July 23, 2016, at approximately 5:30 pm, the suspect entered a residence in the 1500 block of Church Street, Northwest, by breaking a window.  Once inside, the suspect took jewelry and electronics then fled the scene.  CCN: 16-122-741

On Sunday, December 11, 2016, at approximately 5:23 pm the suspect entered an establishment in the 1100 block of 20th Street, Northwest, through a garage door. Once inside, the suspect took clothing then fled the scene. CCN: 16-209-703

On Saturday, December 17, 2016, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 54-year-old Floyd Sellers, of Southeast, DC was arrested and charged with Burglary Two in connection with the offense that occurred on Saturday, July 23, 2016.

As a result of the detective’s investigation, Mr. Sellers was subsequently charged with an additional count of Burglary Two in connection with the offense that occurred on Sunday, December 11, 2016.
