Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit have announced a suspect has been arrested in connection with an Assault with the Intent to Commit First Degree Sexual Abuse and a Sexual Abuse Allegation.
On Sunday, October 19, 2014 at approximately 3:30 am, an adult female was in the area of the 2400 block of I Street NW when a male suspect approached her, grabbed her and attempted to pull her into nearby bushes while threatening her. The victim was able to flee. A short time later, the suspect attempted to sexually assault a second adult female in the area.
The suspect 46-year-old Mustapha Kone of no fixed address was arrested on the scene and charged with Assault with the Intent to Commit First Degree Sexual Abuse, Felony Threats, Kidnapping and Simple Assault.
