Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District announced an arrest has been made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense, which occurred in the 2800 block of 28th Street, Southeast, on Tuesday, April 18, 2017.
At approximately 6:14 pm, two suspects drove by the victim on a scooter. As they passed the victim, one suspect fired a handgun in the direction of the victim. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspects fled the scene on the scooter.
On Tuesday, April 18, 2017, 19-year-old Aaron Beckhan (AKA Aaron Beckham), of Southeast, Washington, DC, was placed under arrest and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
This case remains under investigation.
