The Metropolitan Police Department has announced that an arrest has been made in an Arson that occurred in the 4600 block of 4th Street, NW.
On Thursday, February 13, 2014, at approximately 5:50 am, the District of Columbia Fire Department received a call for the report of a house on fire in the 4600 block of 4th Street, Northwest, Washington, DC. Upon arrival, members located a three story row house with fire present. After the fire was extinguished, an adult female was located unconscious and not breathing inside the dwelling. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services determined that there were no signs consistent with life. The decedent remained on the scene and was subsequently transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia, pending an autopsy to ascertain cause and manner of death.
The decedent has been identified as 80-year-old Lucille Proctor of Northwest, Washington, DC.
On Tuesday, April 1, 2014, 76-year-old Robert Proctor of Northwest, Washington, DC was arrested by members of the Third District Warrant Squad pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant charging him with Arson in connection with the offense which occurred in the 4600 block of 4th Street, NW.
