Armed Robbery Suspects Apprehended

The Metropolitan Police Department has announced that four armed robbery suspects wanted in connection with a March 8, 2010 street robbery have been apprehended.  The suspects, who may also be responsible for a recent series of armed street robberies committed in the Sixth and Seventh Districts, have been charged with Robbery While Armed.

On Monday March 8, 2010, at approximately 11:30 pm, three victims reported to police that they had been robbed at gunpoint by four suspects while in the 2400 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>Good Hope Road, SE.  The suspect’s reportedly exited a minivan, robbed the victims, and then fled the scene in the minivan.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>

Based upon the investigation conducted by Sixth District detectives, with the assistance of Seventh District detectives, a 19-year-old male, an 18-year-old female, and a 16-year-old male, all from Southeast were arrested on Tuesday, March 9, 2010. A 15-year-old male was arrested on Friday, March 12, 2010.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
