Armed Robbery at 4169 Minnesota Avenue, NE

At approximately 12:40 on the afternoon of Thursday, June 7, 2007, two subjects, armed with handguns, entered the Big D’s liquor store located 4169 Minnesota Avenue, NE. Once inside they jumped the counter. One suspect’s gun discharged striking the wall. The gunmen took cash from the register before fleeing.  There were no reported injuries.

The first suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’ tall, thin build with a dark complexion. He was wearing a grey tee shirt, white baseball cap and blue jeans.  The second suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’8” tall with a light complexion.  He was wearing a black tee shirt, blue jeans and sunglasses.  Both subjects wore masks.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at 202/727-9099.  The department currently offers a reward of up to TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any robbery committed in the District of Columbia.
