15 Year Old Murdered in the 3400 Block of 13th Place, SE - UPDATE: Three Suspects Arrested

At approximately 1:15 pm, on Saturday, December 31, 2005, a vehicle drove into the 3400 block of 13th Place, SE. It was at this time that a subject, armed with a handgun, exited the vehicle and began shooting into the area, before fleeing.  As a result, a 15-year-old male juvenile, standing around with others, was shot in the body. The victim, who has been identified as Jon Allen Jr., of the 3300 block of 14th Place, SE, was taken to the Howard University Hospital and pronounced dead at 10:30 pm, on December 31.

The suspect in this case is described only as a black male wearing a dark coat and dark trousers. The vehicle, which was occupied by another subject, is described as possibly being a late model purple or dark blue minivan. The gunman's intended target or targets are unknown.


The case is under investigation by members of the Metropolitan Police Department's Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.  The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
