The Metropolitan Police Department announces an arrest in a burglary in Northwest.
On, Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at approximately 9:56 a.m., the suspect entered an establishment in the 2200 block of 14th Street, Northwest. Once inside, the suspect took property and then fled the scene.
On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, pursuant to a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant, members of MPD’s Fugitive Unit took custody of 39-year-old Gardiner Sanders of Southeast, D.C., from the Arlington County Detention Center. He was transported to the Third District where he was charged with Burglary Two and Destruction of Property.
