Homicide at Savannah Street and Ridgecrest Court, SE

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for the murder of 36-year-old Ling Mao in Southeast.

At approximately 11:55 on the night of Saturday, September 1, 2007, police were called to the intersection of Savannah Street and Ridgecrest Court, SE, for the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival they located 36-year-old Ling Mao, last known address the 10000 block of Elgin Circle in Bowie, Maryland, inside a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body.  He was taken to the Washington Hospital Center’s MedStar Unit and pronounced dead.

The case is under investigation by members of the department’s Violent Crimes Branch.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
