Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting which occurred in the 2400 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>Minnesota Ave., SE.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>

On Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at approximately 9:45 pm units from the Sixth District responded to the rear of the 2400 block of Minnesota Ave., SE. Upon their arrival they found an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to a local hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead.

The decedent is identified as 30 year-old Moeconi Crutchfield of SE, Washington, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
