Homicide: 3300 Block D Street, SE

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting which occurred in the 3300 block of D Street, SE.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>


On Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at approximately 10:55 pm, units from the Sixth District responded to the 3300 block of D Street, SE to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Personnel responded and transported the victim to an area hospital. At 12:49 am the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.


The decedent has been identified as 41 year-old Christopher Fletcher of Fairmont Heights, MD.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.

If the information provided by the caller to the Crime Solvers Unit leads to an arrest and indictment, that caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
