At approximately 7:35 pm, on Saturday, November 11, 2006, Metropolitan Police were called to the 1100 block of 21st Place, NE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police located 34-year-old Boyd King, whose last known address was in the 2100 block of Maryland Avenue, NE, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. He was taken to the Washington Hospital Center’s Medstar Unit and pronounced dead at 8:35 pm.
Also located at the scene was a 17-year-old female, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the ankle, and a 41-year-old male, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the buttocks. The identities of the victims are being withheld at this time because they are considered witnesses in this case.
The case is under investigation by members of the department’s Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.
The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
