At approximately 10:30 pm on Thursday, May 23, 2002, police were called to a building located at 105 Franklin Street, NE. Upon entering, they discovered the bodies of three men suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the body and head.

On Friday, March 1, 2002, Tracey Renee Davis was found in the Downtown Motel, located at 1345 4th Street, NE. She was seen entering the building at approximately 6:30 pm on February 28, 2002 and was killed sometime between then and March 1.
