The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a person who may have information regarding a First Degree Sexual Assault which occurred in the area of the 2600 block of 6th Street, NW.
On Monday, July 22, 2013, between 9:30 and 10:15 am, a female was walking in the area of the 2600 block of 6th Street, NW when she was approached from behind by an unknown male who sexually assaulted her.
This person who detectives would like to speak with is described as a black male, with a dark complexion, 6’0” in height, slim to medium build, 18-20 years of age. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black and white shorts (possibly swim shorts).

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this offense.
