Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are reporting that a victim from a November 2009 shooting has died and that the case is now being investigated as a homicide. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>
At approximately 10:50 pm on Saturday, November 7, 2009, officers from the Third District were called to the 2400 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>11th Street, NW, to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon arrival they discovered an adult male at that location suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was subsequently transported to an area hospital and remained under medical care until he was pronounced dead at 5:45 pm on Tuesday, April 6, 2010.
The decedent in this case has been identified as 27-year-old Earl Griffin of no known fixed address.

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
