Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a vehicle in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, in the 4000 block of 9th Street, Southeast.
At approximately 1:05 am, the victims and suspects were involved in a vehicle collision at the listed location. The suspects brandished handguns and the victims fled the scene in their vehicle. The suspects shot at the victims then fled the scene. No injuries were reported.
The suspect’s vehicle, described as a silver Jeep Cherokee with damage to the front left bumper and panel area, was captured by surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos below:

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
