Suspect Sought in Theft of Elephant Tusks from Wilson Building

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect(s) wanted for a theft of an artifact from the Wilson Building, located at 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue NW.  Between the dates of August 12th and August 27th, 2013, unknown suspect(s) removed a set of ivory elephant tusks that had been given to the city as a gift from Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie I in 1954.

If the information provided by the caller to DC Crime Solvers leads to an arrest and indictment, that caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
