Suspect Sought in Series of Bank Robberies

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in attempting to identify and locate a suspect wanted in connection with a series of bank robberies that have occurred in the District of Columbia.

  • On Friday, June 6, 2014, at approximately 12:46 pm, a black male suspect entered the PNC Bank located in the 2000 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, SE. The suspect approached a teller and passed a note demanding money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and fled.
  • On Saturday, June 7, 2014, at approximately 3:04 pm, a black male suspect entered the PNC bank inside of the Giant food store in the 10500 block of Greenbelt Road in Lanham, Maryland.  The suspect approached the teller and passed a note demanding money.  The suspect fled without obtaining any money.
  • On Friday, June 20, 2014, at approximately 12:28 pm, a black male suspect entered the Wells Fargo located in the 3200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, SE. The suspect approached a teller and passed a note demanding money. The suspect fled without obtaining any money..
  • On Friday, June 20, 2014, at approximately 4:55 pm, a black male suspect entered the Wells Fargo located in the 1200 block of First Street, NE. The suspect approached a customer representative and passed a note demanding money. The suspect fled without obtaining any money.
  • On Friday, June 20, 2014, at approximately 5:00 pm, a black male suspect entered the TD Bank located in the 1200 block of First Street, NE. The suspect approached a teller and passed a note demanding money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and fled.
