Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sexual Assault Unit seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to a Misdemeanor Sexual Abuse offense that occurred on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, in the 700 block of 7th Street, Northwest.
At approximately 9:57 am, the suspect engaged in unwanted sexual contact with the victim, at the listed location. The suspect then fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a black male, who is approximately 20-35 years old. He was last seen wearing a dark colored beanie and dark clothing while riding a white moped in the area on the sidewalk. The suspect was captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos below:
