The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the assistance of the public in identifying the suspect believed to be responsible for a shooting which occurred in the 1200 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>Good Hope Road, SE. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>
Shortly after 12 am on Saturday, November 28, 2009, officers assigned to the Seventh District responded to the 1200 block of Good Hope Road, SE, to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered an adult female victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the face. Personnel from the DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital where she was treated and released.
The suspect is described as a medium-complexioned black male, approximately 5’9” in height with a stocky build, a close hair cut and a mustache. He was reportedly last seen wearing a maroon pullover shirt, dark blue jeans, and black Nike boots. This suspect is believed to be armed with a handgun.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this offense.
