Suspect Arrested and Charged in Connection with Two Bank Robberies: 1600 Block of K Street, NW and the 1000 Block of 15th Street, NW

The Metropolitan Police Department has announced today a suspect has been arrested in connection with two bank robberies which occurred in the 1600 block of K Street, NW and in the 1000 block of 15th Street, NW.

On Friday, August 2, 2013, a lone subject entered the United Bank located in the 1600 block of K Street, NW, approached the teller and demanded money, advising that he had a weapon.  The suspect fled the scene obtaining an undetermined amount of funds.

Shortly thereafter the suspect then proceeded to the TD Bank located in the 1000 block of 15th Street, NW, approached the teller and once again demanded money, advising he had a weapon  The suspect fled the scene obtaining an undetermined amount of funds. 

During the course of a collaborative joint investigation with the FBI, a suspect identified as 55 year-old Clyde Rattler, of Northeast, Washington, DC was located and arrested in connection to both bank robberies.
