(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are seeking a suspect and vehicle of interest in a homicide that occurred on Friday, November 4, 2022, in the 700 block of N Street, Northwest.
At approximately 4:44 pm, members of the Third District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, the members located a juvenile male victim, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 15-year-old Makai Green, of Northwest, DC.
The suspect and vehicle of interest were captured by nearby surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos below. The vehicle is described as a dark-in-color Mercedes.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
