Sexual Assault in the Area of Georgia Avenue & Ingraham Street, NW

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sexual Offenses Unit are investigating a sexual assault while armed, which occurred on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at approximately 6:00 pm, in the area of Georgia Avenue and Ingraham Street, NW.

Police were called to the 6600 block of 1st Street, NW, in regards to a woman who had been assaulted.  The victim reported that she was sexually assaulted by a suspect while in the area of Georgia Avenue and Ingraham Streets NW.

The suspect was described as a black male, 6-feet-tall, with a medium build, shoulder length dreadlocks, and armed with a gun.
