Robbery Suspect Quickly Apprehended in String of Morning Robberies in Southeast

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a string of robberies.

The Metropolitan Police Department announced today the arrest of a suspect in connection with a string of robberies that occurred on October 28, 2009 in southeast, DC.  Seventh District police quickly apprehended 19-year-old Malcolm Williams in connection with three robberies that occurred in less than a half hour:<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>

Approximately 7:40 am – 3700 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>Second Street, SE

Approximately 7:40 am -- 3600 block of Martin Luther King Avenue, SE

Approximately 8:00 am – 3700 block of Second Street, SE

Williams is charged with Robbery While Armed and was apprehended at 8:30 am in the 400 block of Valley Avenue, SE.
